UK Portrait Artist Lorraine Clivery

Welcome to my website, I am a portrait artist living in Cheshire, England working from my home based studio where I produce portraits of pets and people for customers in the UK and all over the world.

I love to translate my love of animals into my work, and get real satisfaction from seeing the pleasure that my portraits bring to people. One of my main aims is to capture the individual spirit and personality of the subject so that each painting becomes a very true to life, personal and treasured possesion.

Having had a love of art and design from an early age I decided to take this path for my career. I graduated in graphic design from Manchester Polytechnic and then worked for a number of years as a Design Manager for a fashion catalogue. I was lucky enough to travel all over the world with professional photographers whose advice and expertise has been invaluable in helping me develop an eye for the best images and compositions to use for my portraits.

I have been producing portraits for over twenty years but it was only when my daughter was settled in at school that I decided to pursue my love of drawing and painting full time.
